The BC RAHA (Rebate for Accessible Home Adaptations)

What is it?

• Rebate program that offers up to $17,500 for home modifications to support aging/living in place
• Limited funding (program runs April 1 - March 31 of every year or until the funds are depleted, whichever occurs first)
• Funding is provided for basic modifications, such as grab bars, as well as complex modifications such as conversions of bathtubs into walk-in showers and stair lifts
• $250 rebate is also provided for a private occupational therapy assessment (which is required for the more complex modifications); this rebate is provided regardless of whether the application is approved or denied, and also regardless of whether the renovations are performed or not
• Available for home owners and tenants
