About Rishma:
Rishma Dhalla lives in Richmond, BC, and is married with 2 adult sons. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1994 and has been serving BC ever since. Rishma gives back to her community and also to the Occupational Therapy profession.
Being a cancer survivor, Rishma has facilitated cancer support groups and has spent countless hours volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rishma is currently a Clinical Faculty Advisor at UBC, and a former member of the Advisory Committee for the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - BC Chapter.
Rishma is currently co-chair of a new national Occupational Therapy practice network called the "Home Modifications and Inclusive Design Practice Network", and she is also an Educator in a cancer research project called: CaRE-AC, a joint collaboration between UHN in Toronto and UBC.
Rishma is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC), the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT), as well as the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
About Adam:
Adam Mohamed is a practicing occupational therapist and registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) as well as the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). He was raised in the lower mainland, graduated from McGill University with a degree in Psychology, and completed his Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Adam has also recently become part of the clinical faculty at the University of British Columbia. Adam can often be found watching sports, playing sports, cooking, or finding new places to eat.
Adam has worked with children and adults across the age spectrum, through their cognitive, physical, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Seeing the progress people can make in their recovery over time is one of the most rewarding elements for Adam.
