V.A.C. (Veterans Affairs Canada)

- Rishma is an approved fee-for-service Occupational Therapist and Clinical Care Manager for V.A.C.

- Rishma provides assessment and treatment for V.A.C. clients (including retired R.C.M.P.)

- Services include, but are not limited to:

• full functional assessment for assistive devices and medical/safety equipment (lift recliners, bath seats, etc)
• home modification recommendations (grab bars, ramps, stair lifts, etc)
• power mobility (scooters and power wheelchairs)
• ergonomic assessment and recommendations
• trials for appropriate equipment such as hospital beds
• treatment including physical rehab (with a Kinesiologist when appropriate)
• sleep hygiene
• stress management including mindfulness and meditation
• alternate pain management 
• reactivation including goal-setting and other education 
• other assessments as required by V.A.C.
